Once you’ve paid for your Topdeck Turkey Explored Tour, make sure you consider what else you will be required to purchase. With only breakfasts and five dinners included, food will be a large portion of your extra cash budget. This breakdown can also help those who decide to travel solo around Turkey.
If you are on a very tight budget, you can get by on around 40 Turkish lira a day, for food and beverages. This will cover a couple of snacks/small meals and maybe one beverage. A more comfortable budget, which allows you to go out with the group for meals or drinks is around 60 Turkish lira a day.
On the Turkey Explored Tour you will be required to cover entry costs to the majority of locations you visit.
Aya Sofia 30 TRY
Topkaki Palace 30 TRY
Hot air ballooning 400 TRY
Turkish night show 140 TRY
Hamam 70 TRY
Boat trip 120 TRY
Ephesus 30 TRY
Pergamon 37 TRY (12 TRY cable car and 25 TRY entry)
Troy 20 TRY
Basilica Cistern 20 TRY (not on tour but definitely should visit in Istanbul)
This comes to a total of 1607 Turkish lira required (using the 60 TRY per day food budget) from analysis of prices experienced August 2014.
Current conversions: 803 AUD, 556 EURO, 444 GBP and 745 USD
This budget does not include shopping prices from pottery, carpet and leather shops you visit or any souvenirs.

This was extremely helpful. I’m sure the cost has gone up a bit since you posted this [2014], so I’ll take it into account, but this was great – thanks so much for posting. Even the tour operator didn’t breakdown these costs this well… Cheers!
You’re most welcome! Have the most amazing time. Happy Travels!
